Southern Cross

Maybe it's the Crosby Stills and Nash song, maybe it's the sailing books I've read, perhaps the stories of other sailors - whatever the inspiration I've always wanted to see the southern cross.

Last night as the sun set over our anchorage on the Island of Coiba off the coast of Panama and before the moon rose, in a sublime moment the southern cross displayed in full glory on the Eve before Easter.
