On a trip like the Dunmire Voyage, crew members will cycle on and off the boat. Sadly, it was time for Kathy to return to Minnesota and for Tom, and Debbie to go back to their life near Atlanta.
Tom and Doug have known each other since they were 4 or 5 years old. They went to high school with Debbie. Their stories of childhood are reminiscent of the Wonder Years and the Little Rascals, both nostalgic and humorous.
Kathy is Doug's lovely wife. They are an incredible team for this adventure and watching their interactions on the boat is pure joy.
I didn't know Tom and Debbie before meeting them on the boat. I count myself among the fortunate to call them friends. Fair winds and following seas my friends.
