Lady Slipper became entangled in a polypropylene line this morning in the Northumberland Strait near Prim Point of Prince Edward Island.
After assessing the situation, we're sailing to Charlottetown. Our plan is to sail into the harbor where we will be met by a boat from the Charlottetown Yacht Club to help us into a slip.
The club manager is currently trying to locate a diver to clear the line from the boat, whether it's around the keel or in the propeller.
Check back for an update when more is known.
The help rendered by this sailing community is outstanding. Heard from Doug about the graciousness of the people in this area. Hats off to a warm and supportive welcome.
Every adventure has its snags!
Although the circumstances may not have been ideal, we very much enjoyed welcoming you to the Charlottetown Yacht Club!
Wishing you fair winds and safe passage on the rest of your journey.
Never a dull moment. A reminder to all boaters/fishermen; leave nothing behind!
Another adventure..?!
